Please beware. The online schools are selling degrees like hamburgers. I attended AIU (American Intercontinintal University) online for over a year. I recieved my 'degree' in Business. Yes they have real work and real teachers but they are a rip off. I had to pay WAY to much for this school and my advisor was swiched on me several times with out my knowledge right when I needed to find out about classes and grades. The last one I had was the rudest person ever and would yell at me on the phone when I tried to ask her a question. This cheated me out of a lot of different things, mostly grades, scholarships and especially the respect for this school. They have MANY rules, and they do not tell you them till you need to do something. Like when you want to dispute a grade because a teacher acuses you of plagerism with out any bounds and can not prove it, because you have always been an A student. But since you cannot reach your advisor for weeks and she will not respond to your message a day, it is over looked and 'oh sorry, too late, you fail the class'. But yes you still have to pay to take it again, another outrageous amount. No one in any department knows anything the other person told you, and the only sure way to get to talk to someone is to not pay your bill for a month and 5 people will call you in a weeks time!

I am so sorry I tried the online school thing, and would warn you to not do the same thing. No other school will take the credits and no one will hire you because a fake school equalss a fake degree. It's a lot of hard work for nothing, don't throw away your time and all that money.

Doesn't seem right

That doesn't seem right. Although on probation, AIU is accredited. Have you tried Columbia College? Their main campus is in MO and they have online classes. I went to Columbia College before transfering to AIU.

Doesn't Count

Because of custody reasons with my daughter I cannot leave the state I reside in and no one here will take my credits. I also tried to get a job that I am well qualified for and they told me that AIU doesn't count as a school so my degree is no good. I know the BBB is all over their backs too, and I can see why. I am glad you got your credits to work for you.
