Complaint Review: AIU On-Line

I currently attend AIU on-line and am to graduate the AA degree in December. I have read all the reports on this site and found a few that are interesting.

As for the classes and teachers, I have found some that were easy and you could wiz through them like nothing and others I had to work very hard to achieve my grade. Of all the teachers I have had I found most of them to be fantastic and very helpful I had one and although I received an A in the class thought the teacher was horrible. He did not respond to nothing I asked him and did not even answer e-mails I therefore answered the best I could.

I did have a 4.0 until the last two sessions when I had one teacher that decided she was not going to give me an A no matter how hard I tried and to my horror, I have her again this session. I also had a teacher that in the previous session that does not understand you being ill and I unfortunately was sick for two weeks. It was a class where you had to do one lesson before the next. Therefore all but the last class got docked 20 points for each assignment hence leaving me with a 897 points. He could not see past that to give me the three extra points to maintain my 4.0 grade average yes I was irate. However cannot take out on the school what two teachers have done to me. Therefore, I just warn you be careful if you get sick do not get behind.

As for the admissions, I have yet to have all my questions answered and I am only 4 weeks from Graduating. I never have been able to understand why I am in a business program when I wanted Criminal Justice. Except I needed credits in something to be able to take the Criminal Justice yet that is fine but why Business is that all they have? From the advertisements they insist on sending me it seems they do have other programs.

All I can remember due to a computer crash is the person that signed me up was Wolfe. After I was accepted, I have had no contact with him or no answers to e-mails.
Student advisors? How do you keep one every time I turn around I am getting a new one and can not keep track of them all. I did manage to end up getting one (Pam) that was real helpful and seem to be getting somewhere with her and all of a sudden now just recently she is gone and once again a new one has been assigned.

I hear talk now as I read this board about $150. Fee for your diploma I am to graduate in December and this has not been mentioned to me yet. When does this get paid??? When do they tell you??

Tech support. Fabulous they have helped me through two viruses and a total computer crash. Called me and sent me e-mails as follow-ups.

I have no problem with other students contacting me or potential students or anyone that has a question about my experience.
