Contractor did not start work in a timely fashion and quit the job without meeting terms of contract. Alaglas Pools had a contract with us to complete the installation of the pool by 7/5/2017 . We handed over a certified Cashier's check for $16,500 (a little more than their requested amount of $16,112.00. They started deviating from the contract pretty soon - 1) They said the Olympian Topaz was on backorder (even though the sales person Bob and indicated that it was the color that was lowest in demand) and we said we could switch to Olympian in Quartz color. They scheduled the initial job of excavation that was to start at 7:00 AM on 6/27/2017 (delay of almost a week from the original scheduled start). The contractor turned up with the equipment two hours late and did not want to do the job per the original specs. He wanted to change the way the pool was laid out in the backyard and did not initially want to remove two trees that was agreed upon. Once they started the work almost 3 hrs later than the 7:00 AM start; he pulled the tree to the side. When my wife requested that they move the tree to a spot where we had other trees in a pile, he demanded to speak to me while I was in a meeting and refused to talk to my wife. Frank was rude to my wife and said he was going to take his equipment and leave. He then dragged the tree back to where it originally stood and left a mess. On calling the office, my wife was told that they could refund the deposit less $1,000.00. Since the contractor left without completing the job, my wife said that we need a full refund of $16,500.00 due to the breach of contract by Alaglas. In this process of installing a beautiful pool in time for our baby's first birthday, we lost valuable time, $20.00 in bank fees as I had to draw two certified checks for Alaglass, interest for the pool financing we took out and of course $16,500.00 in deposit we haven't yet received a refund for and gained an eyesore of a backyard in the process.

We captured the entire event on our camera -
