Complaint Review: Alamo Business Brokers - Jorge Kabande

Reading the other two cases from this site I can see Kabande uses the same lies and tactics every time to rip people off. I also gave him $ 5,000.00 dollars as an earnest money deposit to look at a business he advertised generated 110,000 in cash flow. He was at my bank within 10 minutes cashing my check. When I questioned him on it, he claimed the seller did not want to see personal checks as a deposit. Something I later found out (talking to the seller) it was a lie. The seller told me he had not even asked for any earnest money deposit. The same conditions described in the other cases were also presented to me. That if for any reason I decided not to buy the business I would get my full refund with no questions asked. After reviewing some of the financials and talking to the seller, I found out the cash flow claim of 110K was inflated by almost 3 times. The seller stated he had not given Kabande that figure. When the seller rejected my offer based on the new facts, I requested a full refund of my earnest money. Kabande used the same lies described in the other two cases. First he said his accountant was out of town, then, that she was in the hospital, then he was out of town, and for the following 6 weeks he missed or canceled over 8 appointments with different lies each time. Because I was doing some constant travel during this time he took advantage of this and it now has been over 10 weeks since my original request to refund my money. Now that I am not traveling any more, I will pursue every avenue available to get my money back and put this individual out of business. I have already reported him to the Better Business Bureau and am in the process of taking him to court. If you are a prospective buyer or seller I strongly recommend not to do business with this individual
