08/18/03 I had reserved a compact car on line with Alamo in LAX for 3 weeks at a price of about 1000$. The sales representative Mr Majid Ali Khan offered me an upgrade and I thought it was for free as I signed for full insurance, something that happened with another company only 2 months before. The car was a Chrysler 300M which of course is a better car than a compact.

According to Alamo price list this car is only about 100$ more per week. To my great surprise they wanted 99$ per day which of course is completely outrageous and upsetting. So in all they charged me 3000$ for the 3 weeks. The representatives I talked to were very arrogant and finally Melissa G, Customer service offered me to pay "only 75$" extra per day even this of course way to much. This company has no shame and I warn all to avoid this company.

Mr Majid Ali Khan is the ultamate scammer for the whole company. Always read your contract before signing and also retain the credit card until the total for the rental is given to you. because without asking questions you will be scammed. also if any agent tries to force an upgrade or even for you to take the insurence always ask for a manager or lead agent at the counter.
