21 days after returning a rental car to Alamo I received a demand letter requiring me to forward my personal information to the company so they may determine their claim. There is no information regarding the alleged damage, just that I declined their coverage and I need to supply them with my information.

I immediately called the number provided and proceed to leave my name and phone number. No word back from their recovery department.

23 days from the date of the first letter I receive another stating I have not contacted the company and I need to immediately remit payment for some unknown damage, in the amount of 1,003.26.

Now, let's see I had two car rentals during this vacation. One originating in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl and the other in Miami, Fl. No indication which rental is in question.

I have return receipts for both, meaning I had one of their apt employees check-in the vehicles. The employee did the required walk around, checked feul and mileage and sent me on my way with no indication there was a problem.

I did not look back to make sure no one was doing donuts in the parking garage, once I returned the vehicle in the same condition as I rented it I assumed my liability was over. Maybe Alamo has other ideas.
