Complaint Review: Alans Asphalt

Jerry Sawyer with Alans Asphalt stopped at our farm saying he had some leftover asphalt from a previous job that he would make a great deal on.  I was gone and he talked to my son who lives on the farm.  We had some cracked and broken areas in the current driveway and have wanted to extend it to the garage.

  My son is in his mid twenties and thought this would be a good deal and told them to go ahead.  When I got home they had just finished and my son had paid them.  The amount they charged for a good deal was double to three times what local companies charge and the thickness of the asphalt was minimal at best.  They had also talked my son into doing the whole area in front of the garage for even more than he just paid them.

  Fortunately the weather was threatning rain and they said they would be back on Monday or Tuesday.  On Monday it was again supposed to rain so they did not show up.  I will be calling them in the morning to cancel the rest of the job and let them know about all of the negatives I saw about them on the internet.  My son said he learned an expensive lesson.  Shame on them for taking advantage of young inexperienced people and older trusting people as I read about in other compalints about these crooks. 

If you run across these guys, order them off of your property immediately!
