I went to Alaska Sales and Service, located in Anchorage Alaska, as well as in Wasilla Alaska, with the intent to purchase a brand new vehicle. The red tag sale was going on at this time. (It is a supplier discount) I found the vehicle that I wanted at Alaska Sales and Service in Anchorage. It was a dark red 2008 Trailblazer SS.

During the test drive, I spotted out the same make and model trailblazer, but black in color. I decided I like that one better than the red one, so we parked it and continued the test drive in the black trailblazer. I looked down and the odometer read 500 and some odd miles. I wanted to purchase this trailblazer, but not for full price, as it was used. I told the salesman that this is the one I wanted, but wanted to negotiate a deal for the 500 miles that were already on the "new" vehicle. Someone else had driven the vehicle while they were trying to be approved for the loan. (In the meantime racking up 500 miles) They did not get approved... Not my problem. The sales man came back and said they could not make a deal on the trailblazer with 500 miles.

I then proceeded with the sale of the red trailblazer, if I was going to pay sticker price; I wanted the brand new one. We sat down and began the paperwork, and the sales manager came back to tell me that they made a mistake, and it was going to be $500 more than the sticker price said. In my mind you would correct your mistake without making the customer pay. As I was walking out he said he would take $500 off of the black trailblazer, which really makes me believe they were trying to scam me.

This is false advertisement, and I feel as if they were trying to scam me out of $500.00 because the salesmen were not going to be making much money off of me because of the red tag event that was taking place during that time. I then went to Lithia South Anchorage, (No scams included) and got the same red trailblazer, for the ORIGINAL sticker price that Alaska Sales and Service was advertising, and even got a winterization package with a block heater included. Lithia South Anchorage treated me with respect, and actually valued me as a customer. I will go back to them, and direct everyone looking for a new OR used vehicle to ALL Lithia stores.
