I am a small business owner in central Florida and we rely heavily on merchant account priveleges. I received a negative BBB report and Mercantile Bank in Orlando Florida, suspended my merchant account !! Just like that

A one ALBER PEREZ who is a real POS could give no explanation

I am currently advising all business owners in Central Florida to sever all ties and not do business with Mercantile Bank.

The last i checked the BBB was a sham itself, This whole thing started because I refused to pay the BBB their bogus membership fee for them to remove a negative listing.

THANKS BBB and MERCANTILE BANK for absolutely nothing.

What was the reason Mercantile Bank gave you for suspending your account? It had to be something besides the BBB. One complaint from the BBB does not warrant closure of your merchant account? Were you perhaps selling something you weren't set up for? DId you respond to all customer inquiries? Was your product or service of good condition? Please help me to understand.

i have dealt with those guys before they are the worst bank out there, my freind had bussiness with them he had one complaint by the BBB and they canceld his account, i think that is wrong and relying on the BBB wich is a complete scam here in florida i agree with you, all they want to do is get paid ,a good bank should not rely on a company like the BBB they should do internal investigations ,mercantile is a rip off i dealt with them in fortlauderdale ,do not use them bad bank

thanks

Banks don't check the BBB. They have little credence, and no legal status.

Could it maybe be that the person who filed the BBB report, also reported fraudulent activity on your part to your bank?
