Albert Ramos, aka Alberto Ramos General Contractor, liar, unreliable, poor workmanship Montgomery Texas
We are real estate investors and we renovate houses and resell them. We hired Albert Ramos to renovate 2 houses in Houston, TX. We had a signed contract agreement with detailed scope of work. Albert Ramos guaranteed his work in the contract.
With the first house renovation our main complaint was delays with completion of the job, 5 weeks late. In our business, time is money. When he completed that job, we hired him for a second house renovation. The quality of work on the second house was noticiably worse and we had him come back out to redo several things. We were not satisfied with some of the work and demanded a refund so we could hire someone else to do it, which we did. He agreed he owed us money back, but never repaid us.
In the mean time, the first house went under contract and the home inspection revealed several issues. We called on Albert Ramos to warrant his work and fix the defective items on the list. He showed up one time and strung us along about coming back. We had to hire another contractor to fix everything. We demanded Albert Ramos repay us for what the other contractor charged, and Albert went missing in action.
Between the 2 houses he we spent over $7000.00 having another contractor fix Albert Ramos' work. I made several atempts to collect some monetary repayment from Albert Ramos. He mostly did not respond, and when he did, he told me he was out of town. We were able to get an address of another house he was working on in Houston, we drove by there, his truck was there and we saw him on the property. I texted him at that moment, and again, he replied he was out of town...he is a liar.
We do not recommend that he be hired for general contract or house renovation work.
