Complaint Review: Alcan Financial Services

Alcan Financial Services sent a letter about unclaimed prize money in the amount of $17975, stating that particpants were selected throug a reader's digest, publisher's clearing house data base...Australia, New Zealand, Europe, North and South America, South Africa and Asia as part of an International Promptions Program(IPP).

They state that International Law ensures that a winner pays a processing fee before the funds are released. The processing fee is $910.00 and the check sent to me is $975.00 USD.

The remaining $17k funds are now deposited with Alcan Financial Services and insured in my name. I will be advised by a claims agent on how the processing fee will be sent and the balance of $17,000 will be sent to me via a courier company of choice after the processing fee payment is confirmed.

Claims agent is Mr. Jones Makail at 1-204-951-0696.
The letter is signed by AUdrey Kennedy, Director Claims & Credit Control.
Sponsor is identified in letter as Readers Digest, Publishers CLearing House, Sweepstakes, Lotto.
