So I found the advertisement on a magazine for this company offering party arrangements at discount prices, and I called and booked a party jumper, 20 chairs and a PINATA for my sons birth day party.

So everything scheduled for memorial day and in the morning the jumper and the chairs and tables where delivered, and I paid $160 (even though on the phone they had said $150) and the lady said her sister would bring the PINATA later, keep in mind this is memorial day Monday and almost everywhere is closed, so we had bought everything for my 4 year old party the prior day.

So the day goes by, and the Pinata NEVER SHOWS UP I'm infuriated mostly at myself for going with this discount company that has ruined my boys party.

When they show up to at 8:30 pm to pick up their jumper and chairs and tables, I let them know that I'm very unhappy with the service, that the Pinata never arrived and I demanded my money back. The guy who came to pick up the rentals, stated that he would get on the phone with the owner and if they could pick up their stuff, to what I agreed. Finally the owner appears, said she is sorry, and offered to give me back $20 witch she said was the cost of the PINATA, I stated that I wanted all my money back that they had not upheld their contract and $20 for not following up on the contract just isn't enough. She stated that this was all that she can do, I stated, if I didn't get my money back, I would report them on the Internet and they agreed, they would rather keep the $160 than keep their reputation

Are you entitled to something..Yes.
Are you entitled to a FULL refund..Not even close.

The reason is that the Jumper, Table, and Chairs were delivered in the morning and per the contract(or you would have mentioned that I am sure). You also used them all day per the contract. If the pinata was that important, why did you make your complaint at the end of the day. You had their phone number, so why didn't you call them several times until they got you the Pinata. I don't know about your specific area, but even though it was Memorial Day there were very few stores closed. Worst case you could have had someone go out and pick one up.

The $20 they offered may not have seemed fair to you, and you may have been able to come to some middle-ground. But giving them the attitude of they must give you a FULL refund or you are going to report them seems more like blackmail. With an attitude like that no business is going to be willing to come to a middle-ground. If you really think you are entitled to a full refund take them to small claims court, but the judge is going to tell you basically the same thing.
