Although this happened about 12 years I fell it necessary to write about it. When I bought my house i wanted an alarm system installed and called ALERT ALARM in honolulu. A man came to my house and I paid around $2,800 to have physical system installed. At that time I had a home phone. I asked what will happen if someone cut my phone line. He replied that ALERT ALARM hs monitors physically manning all systems and it would alert them to the phone being cut.If they were unable to get ahold of me they would then call the police.Well Well one day I went to use my phone and it was dead.  And someone had cut the line but did not attempt to enter my house.

I left it this way for 17 days waiting for alert alarm to contact me or even call police.. But nothing happened on their end. When I fixed my phone I called them and they said   that the man that sold me the $ 2,800 system would never have told me this. Well as I no longer felt safe I cancelled my 5 year contract in the third year. They made you sign a 5 year agreement at that time on top of paying for the system. They then turned me into the credit union and thus screwed up my credit. I filed a complaint with RICO( regulated industries complaint office) in honolulu, but they did nothing. Be carefull if dealing with this company as they lie and overcharge and make you sign a contract. And they do not keep their word!!
