Complaint Review: California Beauty Slim And Lift

I saw the infomercial on these wonderful undergarments....oh yeah, two for the price of one. What they don't tell you is they double ding you on the shipping.

So, here's the math...two of these undergarments for two payments of $19.95 (which comes to $39.90). Then, the salesperson tells you EACH one costs $9.95 to ship. That would be $19.90 which is 50% of the purchase price. Second pair for free huh.

Give me a break. Pullleeeeze. Shipped together, these undergarments would weigh maybe 16 oz. or one pound. $9.90 would be an appropriate S&H for both.

So, I thought I would be clever and go to their web site www.cabeauty.com which redirects to www.thane.com/html/products/cb/slimlift/silhouette.html (a notorious "as seen on TV " site) and order thinking the phone sales company was trying to get one up on me.

Well, the same double shipping applies on the web site. So ladies, this isn't a free lunch. While the undergarments may be worthwhile, don't fall for the old 2-for-1. Just order 1 and if you like the product, then order a second pair. Heck, they'll charge you for the shipping anyway.

Argghhhhh......double-speak at its finest.
