Aleshia Ward - My Direct Mail Pros, Inc. Wayne Ward Did not respond when requested to perform business marketing services that was agreed upon & paid for. Also refuses to refund money from attorney's demand letter. Jacksonville, Florida
Aleshia Ward promised direct mail advertising services- producing a unique type of letter- the "Yellow Letter" which would be sent to a custom list of individuals that she would provide through her list provider. The recipients on the list had to meet specific criteria, which she said she could provide. This list of people all had to match the qualifications that I specified. She said that I had to pay in advance for the list and the production and mailing of the letters and I had to have a minimum number of names to order the list. She also promised that she was able to fulfill my requirements for the people I was looking to contact but she would give me the exact counts when I was ready to proceed with the job. I spoke to her in November, 2009 and asked her to proceed, but I asked her if she could change the return address from the sample. She said I could change it because everything has not been completed. She also advised me on how to get a local return address and not use my Maryland office address as the return address. I told her I would have a new Virginia return address to replace the one on the sample before she produced the letters. She said that was no problem because the letters had not been done yet.
I never heard back from her about the counts for the recipients and she would not respond to my emails and calls. I then sent a demand letter through an attorney- David Grigaltchik for a return of my $907.95. She responded with an email that was full of lies. First, she said she had proof that I approved the job online and that she had my computer IP address. This is a lie because the number she gave for my IP address was wrong, and not even close. I never saw the service agreement that she provided and I never approved of the job online or went online about the job. There are several other lies that she claimed in her defense, and I have proof from emails that they were all wrong.
She said she would be willing to talk to me about this, so I called her earlier today and told her that she did not have proof of my computer ID (the IP Address) because the number she had was all wrong. I did not even mention a number of other falsehoods in her statements, but I just repeated my demand for a refund of the $907 and $100 for the cost of the demand letter. She said she would talk to her lawyer and get back to me in 48 hours. I told her I already filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and the Florida Attorney General's office. The BBB already had a few other complaints against her that were similar to mine and she has a very poor rating. If I collaborate with other people who have filed complaints thru this site as well as the BBB, then she could very well be in a lot of difficulty with the Florida Atty General's Office.
