Last year I took my Ford Ranger pickup to Alexander Ford Lincoln Mercury to have a small water leak fixed. First they told me that it just needed a new water hose. Fine, I left it for repair. Later I got a call from theeir service department saying that I needed a new radiator and that it would take a few days before they could get to it. Five days later they called and told me it was ready. I paid a huge bill and went out to drive my truck home and discovered that water was running from the radiator area. I called the lady that took my money outside to observe the leak which she did. While I was waiting for someone from the service department to arrive the water stopped dripping so I drove it home. By the time I got home the water was streaming out.

I called the service department and told them to come pick the truck up and fix it correctly . They towed the truck back to the dealership. They kept it three more days and when I went to pick it up they had left it sitting outside the entire time and there was bird s**t all in the cab and dust every where.

When I drove it home it was missing and running very rough. I called the service department again and they said it was running bad because it needed a major tune-up. Let me remind you that it was running GREAT when I dropped it off there.

I tried to talk to several people at Alexander Ford Lincoln Mercury and no one wanted to fix my problem. I tried calling Mr. Don Alexander, the owner. He was never available. I wrote him a letter about my problem and he did not reply.

I called the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan and they said they would take care of the problem. To this date I have not had a response from ANYONE!!!

I assume you are trying to get the dealership to take responsibility for the additional repairs that your vehicle needs. I also assume that you do not belive that your vehicle needed the additional work when it was dropped.

I recommend that you take the vehicle to a different auto shop to have the driveability concern diagnosed. Tell them the situation, they may be able to tell you that something is damaged or was neglected or whatever.

Now you have something to go to them with, a way to SHOW them it was there fault, instead of just assuming.

Good luck and I hope that this dealer steps up to the plate and corrects any problems they may have caused.
