I recently had the pleasure of uncovering a really big scam on mostly the elderly when a friend of mine had e-mailed me to tell me how the family won this huge amount of money.

I am always a skeptic, but even more so when it comes to a friend or family member. I want proof in black and white, with absolutely no doubts. So, after looking into it, I found that this company has a real long history of scamming people out of offensive amounts of money.

I want to alert people about this company so they cannot continue to scam the ones that were made aware of them.

They are called: Algamene Sweepstakes and Lottery, aka, El Gordo Sweepstakes and lottery. They are one on the same company. Their address is out of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

The only differences are their name change and a very slight change in the address. You will receive a non existant fax number.

When you write back telling them their number is non existant, you will get an answer stating to please allow one of their agents to find a lawyer for you to become your Power of Attorney and that attorney will deposit the money in an account of your choice, for a percentage that is. And it will one of their attorneys, of course,

Let us not be fooled here. I have never been known to candy coat anything, so here are the cold, hard facts. First of all, if you ever receive this notification either regular mail or via e-mail, don't fall for it.

These kind of scam artists are just dying to get hold of your bank account number or your credit card number. Do not give anyone any personal information over the phone or internet that you do not have regular dealings with.

I have been writing my reports to the Rip-Off Reporter quite a few times and I will always stick to my same opinion. If something sounds like it it too good to be true, it usually is.

Money is hard to come by and easy to go. But don't give it away to someone who only has the intention of ripping you off. It could very be your very financial ruin, especially by giving these people Power of Attorney, which they request and/or your credit card number, bank account number or any other pertinent personal information.

Please pass this information on to others. Let's try to stop them in their tracks.

Don't Pull This Innocent Routine John!!! It doesn't fly!!! ..a poor innocent employee of a firm that is clearly linked to illegal acts

This is too John, clearly a poor innocent employee of a firm that is clearly linked to illegal acts. John, if the firm you're working for is processing the eneries for the scams, then you're just as guilty. Common sense would tell anyone that if all they're doing is fielding calls from angry and dissatisfied customers, clearly your company is at fault.

Lowlifes involved in scams have started setting up phone banks to handle all the so called "Customer Service" issues dealing with their scams.

The people answering the phones know they're employer(s) are scamming people. But most feel as long as they just answer the phones, they're innocent! BULL!

John, if you've got even a little common sense, you know you're cheating people. Yes You're cheating people.

If all you do is give your pre-arranged speech to irate customers to do "Your Job" so "You" can get paid, then you're just as slimey as those who put the scam together.

Grow up and get a real job you loser!
I'll bet neitehr you, anyone you work for or anyone involved in this lotto scam can produce one person who wasn't cheated by your firm.
