A group of people in Romania (may be one) and France, possibly other European states, are using www.alibaba.com to post false trade leads. They offer laptops at prices that are significantly lower than MSRP, but are not unbelievably low.
They all request that you send them payment through Western Union to a place called Ramnicu Valcea, Romania.
They are more than willing to supply you with a tracking number from FedEx or UPS. If you look carefully though, they obtained the tracking number via the online application, so they never even have a product.
Beware. Because this is international, any legal action you want to take is slow and only marginally effective.
