Alienware My Worst EVER purchase! Miami Florida
October 2006 I purchased a state of the art Alienware Area 51 computer. I had loaded this machine with the the best motherboard and memory, as a result my final cost was $4800. Not long afterward the computer suffered repeated blue screen crashes. Alienware support, had me reinstall drivers, flash my memory and eventually twice reinstall my operating system.
April of 2007 they switched the memory cards. The errors continued. Eventually in disgust I bulled my way to a supervisor at Aleinware support, he told me that there was a known compatibility issue with the motherboard and memory. He said, "Send it back for repairs."
May 2007, computer returned, new motherboard and memory.
The problems continued and in July 2007 I again returned the computer for a new motherboard and memory. Alienware was very gracious and they offered a one month extension of my warrenty.
October 2007, Alienware Sales called, told me my warrenty had expired and offered me the opportunity to purchase an extension. They had lied to me about the extension of warrenty! The sad fact is that this is a computer that screams out for an extended warrenty, I may have to pay to keep this POS working.
MY WORST EVER PURCHASE EXPERIENCE!
