this report is for all airlines, how dare airlines are charging up to $150. charges on baggage(roundtrip) knowing that people can not travel without luggage. This is very abusive, I am a frequent traveler and I use to travel and purchase gifts(for my family and close friends) from everywhere I went and now is not happening, because I have to pay for bags. Imagine for one minute people paying on a metro bus for a backpack. This is a shame airline tickets are already high when you add the baggage charges is horrific. The funny and sad thing is that people are taking big backpacks to the plane, trying to save for baggage charges wich is an inconvinient when boarding the plane, because now is not space in the compartments for all passengers. This problem is going to minimize traveling, airlines are going to be crying even louder. It is not working, in my case if I was traveling 6-7 times a month, now 2 or three times.

These stupid charges along with others for seat assignments and other things were supposedly a result of high fuel costs. Fuel is down but the charges remain. Flights are always full so the airlines must be making money. My advice is to fly Southwest whenever you can. It is advertised as the "No Fee" airline and it is. I wouldn't fly with anybody else. Everytime Congress tries to get a bill passed for customer rights the lobbyists for the airlines object and our congressmen cave. Everybody shares your sentiments, Sonia. Fly Southwest and let them know that you appreciate their corporate policies.
