This company allows it's Dispatchers to pursuade drivers to exceed maximumm hours of service limits. If you dont do it, they will give the load to someone who will do the load illegally and then starve you for loads until you resign.

AAX is absentee owned by Jamal Lewis, a star running back for the NFL's Cleveland Browns. It is managed by some of the same people that have run several other companies into the ground in and around the Calhoun, Georgia area, and thus should be considered and checked out very carefully before signing on with them.

Right there on their website, it is stated that the "expect drivers to give 110 percent at all times". The only problem with that is that there are rules that must be followed by law, and that requires a 100 percent commitment of compliance, or people get hurt and killed.

AAX's safety record is marginal, with evidence of some logbook manipulation occurring, but it may or may not necessarily be a widespread problem. And since they have only been in business under this name for less than two years, it's very easy to assume that not everyone that is in violation is being caught....yet.

They wouldn't meet my standards if I were seeking a job, and I would take it to heart that the man who offered the above complaint may well be on target. If the people who are running things down in Calhoun are in complete charge, you can bet the working environment sucks for anyone wanting to be safe and compliant at all times.

And time will tell if their marginal safety record worsens, as I suspect it will.
