I was employed by a moving company out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. (All Coast Transporters USDOT: 1441214 MC: 544634 a branch for Nationwide)
I was a driver for them for about a year. This company holds a large money escrow account for the truck and another for any damage of any customer goods. I put my two weeks notice telling them I was resigning this position I was in Fort worth, TX at the time of my resignation. As the contract states they will hold the Truck escrow money until the company gets the truck back to them and they will inspect for any damage and this money will be on the last pay check.

Well the company has the truck back and I have the damage report of the truck from the leasing company, the owners of the truck, and I havent received my escrow money. Its two months now from the date I return the truck to the leasing company. I contacted Penske truck leasing out of Pompano Beach, FL. Sindy in the leasing department informed me that truck #505549 it must be in used by another driver of the company because the truck has not been return to them and I am not liable for any damage the truck has after the date of the inspection report they provited me when I return the truck and I have in my position. All Coast Transporters dose not pick up my calls.

Second, they will hold the damage escrow for 6 months to see if any customers file claims for any damage Ive done to their belongings. In the past weeks Ive contacted every customer I relocated, every single one.!!!!! Good News!!!! No claims were filed. Hopefully I dont have to wait for more the 6 months for the damage escrow. I was afraid that I will not see my money but its great when you keep paper work for everything youve done. My attorney its putting a great case together. Im glad I recorded the last conversations I had with company reps and the photos I took of the truck. It will hold in court.

Returned trucks

As per our contract he was liable to bring the truck back to the home base in Florida. He left it in New Jersey. I had to pay a driver to run it then when he left at least he was man enough to return it to my office and I had to fly him back. With the rising cost of fuel and airline prices why is it fair that he can just drop my truck were ever he wants? I pride myself on being fair and if you look I have very few complaints compared to many other moving companies. I try to resolve any issues before it gets to this level. Thank you
