Complaint Review: All Girl Entertainment / Girls In The Night

On August 28, 2008, a purchase for an advertised VIP pass was transacted through the website, www.girlsinthenight.com, using PayPal for an event I was to attend in Atlanta, GA. I never received the pass due to miscommunication within the organization. I was sent on a wild goose chase all over the city to finally find the company as I was departing Atlanta.

I made them aware of the situation. The general director gave me her contact information and told me to contact her after the event was over. I called her on September 3, 2008, and was indeed promised that a check in the amount of $115 dollars and the gift bag that was promised with the pass would be mailed out by September 8, 2008.

On September 10, 2008, I filed a complaint with PayPal to make them aware of All Girl Entertainments shady business practices. They assigned me case number: PP-539-138-046. PayPal also has stated they have until October 3, 2008, to close this case. To date, it is unresolved.

I called the GD today, September 26, 2008, to inform her that I have yet to receive the package as promised. She tells me that she has found out this has happened to many people and will not send out the refund until she does a full investigation of the other consumers. I reminded the GD of what she promised, and her response was since it is a business, they wanted to issue the refunds all at the same time rather than the time she specified earlier this month.

I informed her that this was unacceptable and must be immediate resolution to this matter. I also stated regardless of how she wanted to handle the other occurrences, she should have made me aware that she would be in fact withholding my money investigation issues that do not concern me. The GD stated the site had a no refund policy posted on the site.

I told the GD that it appears she has been running this scam for quite some time with no regard to law or ethics. I told her that I am requesting she have a postmarked letter containing my refund no later than Monday, September 29, 2008 to avoid further legal actions. She stated she will not. I ended the conversation.
