My boyfriend Mark and I were relocating from Florida to Vegas and contacted All My Sons for a moving estimate.  Mark needed to move right away and I was planning to move 5 weeks after so initially we were going to do separate moves and got separate estimates.

Mark's things were picked up on November 3rd and he was told that his things would get to our new home in Vegas within 2 weeks.  My estimate was done on November 8th.  We were told that we would be getting an amazing discount because they were getting two moves from us.

On November 11, I received another estimate which came in lower than the one from All My Sons.  Mark called All My Sons early the following week to check on the status of his delivery and to discuss the amount of my estimate.  He found out that his things were still sitting in the warehouse in Florida, almost 2 weeks after they were picked up, and were not even en route to Vegas.  He was told at that time that he signed a flexible delivery which means his things would be delivered anywhere from 2 to 45 days.  That was NEVER mentioned to him, rather he was told his things would arrive within two weeks by the sales representative who did the estimate.

Once I found this out, I called our rep at All My Sons and told him that I would not be using his services for my delivery because I need a guaranteed date.  He asked if I would reconsider if he could guarantee me a date.

After much back and forth, we came to an agreement that I would move earlier than originally planned and that my things would be delivered with Mark's on a mutually agreeable date.  My things were to be picked up on November 22 and I was told by the rep that they would be delivered between December 5-7th, but that contractually they had to add on 3 days in case of emergency, like a broken down truck or inclement weather, that kind of thing.  So, my guaranteed date was set for December 10th. Since they seemed to want to make things right for us and were able to offer a guaranteed delivery date, I agreed to do business with them.

On November 22, when the movers came to pick up my things, they had paperwork with them, including an itemized list of my things, for me to sign before they left.  I noticed the paperwork had "flexible delivery 2-45 days" on it. I refused to sign it until after they called the office and got approval to change it to a guaranteed date of December 10th.  They did not have a copy for me but I was told the paperwork would go along with my things.

On Tuesday, December 6th I had not yet received a call from the movers with a delivery time so I contacted the office for a status.  I was told that my things would be there on the weekend.  I was really interested to know if the truck had broken down or ran into any bad weather.  Mark called as well and all we got were lies - we were told that there was bad weather and that there were other deliveries on the truck.

The delivery truck did not make it to us until December 12th.  We spoke to the driver who told us that it only took him 3 days to get Vegas from Florida, he did not run into any bad weather, and that he did not make any other stops or deliveries on the way to us.  I also noticed that the paperwork that the driver had was not the same paperwork that was signed on the day my things were picked up.  Instead, my list of items was copied onto new paperwork that had "flexible delivery" on it.  Of course, you have to sign the paperwork to get your things.   On top of that, Mark's boxes were infested with roaches from sitting in their warehouse for a month.

When I wrote to All My Sons with my complaint, they sent back the original estimate and told me that I signed a contract for a flexible delivery.  This contract was null and void, which I explained in my initial letter to them, when I renegotiated for a guaranteed delivery date.  They have not produced the original paperwork I signed when my items were picked up for delivery.

Before they picked up my things, I asked the rep to send me an email in writing as to what we agreed upon.  He kept promising he would get around to it.  Finally, I get an email from someone in his office with the wrong delivery date of Dec 12th.  I called and texted asking for him to correct it to what we agreed on but it never happened and I was running out of time so I had to take his word for it and believe me we spoke MANY times about the dates.  I believe they knew all along they would not get our things there on the date they promised.
