Rip-off is a harsh phrase, but I was more than disappointed with the service from All Pro Service, Inc.

My experience was SO SIMILAR to previous post I had to write.

All Pro Service was referred by my warranty company to repair my hot water heater.

Technican said I needed an EXPANSION TANK per code. The tank would cost $325 additional. This is not code required in my town, and it created much headache with the warranty company. Eventually, after emails from CITY INSPECTOR, I saved an additional $325 rip-off, but it cost me days and frustation.

The inspection failed for various minor reasons, but based on other issues I prefer not to write, I would avoid this company at all costs.

Even if a warranty company sends a tech, find out who is coming into your house, and research them on the internet. If they are not insured or licensed the company must refer to another company.

For Texas, use to check on your plumber.

Use and this site to research business.

Call state plumbing board to check on compliants. (Mine had several)

Warranty Companies(Ha Ha)

#2Consumer Suggestion

Dear Steve,
I run and operate a nation wide plumbing Franchise and deal with the warranty companies all the time. The name of the game with them is cheap. These companies call us and we tell them the cost and at that point, they decide to call some jackleg for 1/2 the price. We have plumers with a PLUMBING LICENSE.Any company can go to the city or county and get a business license and tell you that they are licensed. There is a big difference in a PLUMBING license and a Business license.ANY servicetech that comes into your home should have a card in his pocket to show that HE is licensed. If he doe's not, send him down the road.

You will not get a licensed plumber for what the warranty companies want to pay.The only way for a plumber to make money with a warranty company,is to create more work while he is at your house.
Good luck
