Me and my daughter both bought cars from All Star MitSubishi in 2012. She bought a new 2012 Lancer and I bought a used 2010 Honda. We both purchased gap insurance.
We were bringing the cars, and 2 others we had previously purchased, to them for all servicing. A few months back wd noticed that they were totally shut down. We had no idea what happened. It was like they disappeared in the middle of the night. A few weeks later we both received letters from the Gap Insurance company that they had terminated both our contracts because All Star sent them back our contracts saying they could not pay them.
I was shocked because we had paid for gap coverage in our contracts. I asked the gap company if the contracts could be reinstated if someone else paid them and they said no because their contract was only with all star.
So we are now both out of the money we paid to all star for this coverage and neither one if us has gap coverage which we feel is important.
