All United Van Lines, Inc Suraj Karuppan Viswanathan, AVL Moving Systems, Ram Moving Corp, American Van Lines, Get A Driver, Get A Loader, Get A Mover, Get A Packer, R1 Moving & Storage, Trans Van Lines, 1 Way 2 Move House Hold Goods Shipment Stolen Santa Clara/Chatsworth/Encino, California
My HHG shipment was scheduled to be picked up on 21 July, 2011 from Ogden, Utah by All United Van Lines. The driver nor the company notified me of a delay on pick up. After repeated attempts, the driver arrived for pick up on 25 July, 2011. My delivery date was set to "open" and was to be delivered to Mclean, Virginia.
On 5 October, 2011 I received a phone call from the driver saying that there was a delay with my delivery due to mechanical failure of the truck however, he would be delivering my shipment the next day (6 Oct, 2011). At that time I was not in the local area to receive my shipment. I requested that the company would release my HHG to a friend at a storage unit. The manger of All United Van lines, "Kevin Litz", told me that was fine.
When the truck arrived for delivery, the storage unit area was too small for the truck. The company told me that they would charge me an additional $700 in order to rent a smaller truck to deliver my HHG. I then requested that the driver take my HHG's to a different location. The manager, "Kevin", told me that the driver was going to Boston, MA and he could take my shipment there at no additional cost. Since I am living in Maine, I said I agreed to that.
The driver told me delivery would be between 10-12 Oct, 2011. On 13 Oct, 2011 I called the driver to ask when he would deliver. The driver told me his truck was empty and he did not know where my shipment was. The driver claimed my HHG's were most likely in the company warehouse in California. The driver also told me that the manager of All United Van Lines was going to contact me on 11 Oct, 2011 to speak with me about the situation. I never heard from "Kevin", or any other employee of All United Van Lines.
On 13 Oct, 2011 I called the company phone number (1-800-780-6683) and I left a message for "Kevin" to call me back. Since that day, I have called the company multiple times a day. The automated system that answers their phones no longer picks up. The lines just ring.
Although the FMCSA lists the US DOT# 931399 as National Moving, that company is doing business as All United Van lines. According to the California Public Utilities Commission, "All United Van Lines" is an additional carrier DBA the RAM Moving Corp, which is operated by Suraj Viswanathan.
I have had contact with Mr. Viswanathan's other moving company "AVL Moving Systems" however, they deny any knowledge of All United Van Lines.
As of today, 1 Nov, 2011, I do not know the location of my HHG's. I now consider my shipment stolen by All United Van Lines AKA Suraj Viswanathan.
Below is the email I sent to AVL Moving Systems on 31 Oct 2011. It gives details that make it very clear that AVL Moving Systems and All United Van Lines are scam companies being operated by Suraj Viswanathan.

Suraj Karuppan Viswanathan, I know who you are. I have seen the NBC bay Area News report from November 2008. I have also seen you on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOliM9sRv2c). I find it interesting that you sound very similar to "Kevin Litz".
Due to no acknowledgement by either AVL Moving Systems or All United Van lines to my request (last week), I have contacted the following:
Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
Federal Bureau of Investigation
Better Business Bureau (San Jose)
Maine State Police
California Attorney General Office
Mr. Viswanathan, I am once again requesting to know the location of my house hold goods and to setup a delivery. Why is nobody answering the phone/emails of All United Van Lines?
My next step is to contact a lawyer to discuss how grand theft laws of California work.
Thank you.
