Allan Manheim, PC. Took $10,000.00 retainer, done nothing. Then acused me of threatening him, quit the case and kept all of the money. Marietta Georgia
I paid Mr. Manheim $10,000.00 cash to represent my daughter in a custody case. For 2 years he done nothing. At first "He was going to win. I don't take cases I can't win"! I called and left a message on his voice mail to call me. Told him we were counting on him and if he could not help us to bill what he was owed and send the balance to us so we could hire someone that would. I left the message on his machine. He never called. 2 weeks later I called and asked him to call me. Told him if he could not win this case tell me and I would come show him what to do. It is really a simple case. Told him to call me that it was in his best interest to call me I had some info for him. Both messages on tape.
He told my wife I threatened his life. That in 25 years he had never been threatened. She said she heard the conversation and there was no threat. He said " it kinda sounded like one". Then he went to court and quit the case. He told the opposing lawyers everything they needed to know and kept my money.
My son-in-law called and told his paralegal we were contacting the Georgia Bar and he then accused my son-in-law of threatening him. He has done this before because there are references to this on the internet. He has a friend that is a superior court judge and is on the Bar. Mr. Manheim is not even a member of the Georgia Bar. He is a liar and thief. He will take your money and when you anger him he will make accusations against you and quit. But he keeps all of your money and there is nothing you can do.
He gives all lawyers a very bad name and is a disgrace to the legal profession. And just think he is an officer of the court. What a shame. A rip-off if ever there was one!
