Believing that all of us were the only ones feeling this same way. None of the reports are false or misquoted.

Understanding that you're offended, it does not make you right.

Recently a report was posted and caused complete interference and chaos throughout the entire club, that still continues. Why does one opinion need to completly take over the gym as if it were a virus? It encourages the negative behaviour. The atmosphere is very uncomfortable for everyone as a whole.

To sum things up things I've witnessed myself

-There is gossip & assumptions

-There is yelling

-There is smoking

-There is humiliation at times

-There is lack of patience

-There is poor communication

Do not misunderstand it, it is truth.

By accepting a few flaws shows that you're still growing. It's helping others. It's a matter of the young looking at you and gaining confidence.

There is a thin line between a tough coach and being a jerk. Tough coaches still know how to speak to their players with respect while gaining respect. To speak to any of these kids with embarrasment, humilation, or like they are unqualifed at the gym is a reflection on your character. Youth coaches invest the best in practices to enhance the development of each child physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. Everyone is watching your reaction. If you're in control they're in control. Both of you know that you have a lot of talent at your fingertips, be the leader it creats more leaders.

Ultimately accept these reviews, take it in without such outburst & assuming that everyone is out to get you. I assure you both that is not the case! You both are a huge influence to everyone that walks into that gym. Make good vibes, & positive energy (IT'S CONTAGIOUS) If anything just try it to see how your players/teams react.

Thank you for your constructive thoughts. Yes as coaches sometimes we do lose patience,  and communication with young girls can be hard sometimes. We decided this summer to do a bible devotional every practice and weekly when our season began with all teams. We knew that when we began this, we would be tempted by the devil, throughout the club. We knew that the devil would whisper rumors and do anything to discourage us from trying to be more glorifying to God through volleyball. But we will continue to be club that prays and plays together. No I am not perfect, as nobody is but when we fall, God is there to pick us up. So again thank you for your words.
