I can see why it is possible that other people dislike Allen Lambert. Fred Allen Lambert needs to retire. My experiences with him were terrible. He did nothing but sit there like a bump on a log, and berate me, and argue with me. He did not provide any type of "therapy" in my session and repeatedly lied to my face, probed me for information that I could tell he was going to use against me because he had a conniving grin on his face the entire time, and this man has absolutely no empathy or sympathy what-so-ever. Talking to him is impossible, he distorts everything you say into a negative and uses it against you, he acts as if he is a Drill Sergeant and stares you down and speaks to you in an enraged manner. He plays Devil's Advocate and throws a fit like a little girl when you do not agree with him. Apparently he needs to choose a different profession. Do not waste your hard earned cash on this man's services.

From my experiences he fits the description of a cold and conniving sociopath due to his hostility, lies, cold and empty eyes, and off-beat demeanor. Although I am not trained to diagnose, you can do the research on your own and put two and two together. Avoid this man at all costs. He is nothing but trouble as he was in my case.

I would steer clear of Allen Lambert at all costs. I also doubt he kept any of my counseling files confidential. I believe he shared my files with other people, as it was strange how all of a sudden people in the community started knowing intimate details about me that I only mentioned in therapy with Allen Lambert, nor did he provide any type of diagnosis nor did he do any diagnostics. I believe the Texas state board that licenses Allen Lambert lets him off way too easily. This man should be banned from his practice and shunned from his profession just like he tried to do to me.

My experience with Allen has been completely different than this report.  I highly recommend Allen as a professional psychotherapist who knows his stuff and has helped a lot of people, including me, get out of anxiety.  I am sorry this individual had such a negative experience, but I sincerely doubt it was Allen's fault.  In any service profession, you will have happy and unhappy people.  A good professional has a higher percentage of happy people than unhappy people with the service.  Do not let this guy's review steer you away from Allen.  He is the best therapist I have ever had, and I've had a few, so that's saying something :)

I am a licensed psychologist and Allen Lambert has been my therapist for years.  I disagree wholeheartedly with this negative portrayal of Allen Lambert.  I find him to be an empathic, supportive therapist who appropriately challenges me to grow and learn all the while knowing he is on my side.  I hope that all potential clients will keep an open mind when seeking services from any therapist and decide for themselves if it is a good fit and not be swayed by one person's opinion, even my own.

My experience with Allen Lambert has been nothing at all like the above "report". I saw Mr. Lambert for a few months about 3 years ago to he help me through a tough time. He was nothing but courteous and attentive. Yes, he did ask questions but how else would he understand how you are feeling or how you are affected by whatever issues are at hand?

He never once, "threw a fit like a little girl", nor has he ever acted like a "Drill Sergeant" to me. He has been only compassionate and thoughtful at all times.

I have recently begun seeing Allen again, and found this "report" accidentally while searching for his email. I was shocked and horrified by the depictions contained therein. My experience with Allen could not be any more opposite than that of the "anonymous" reporter.

I rarely post online but I felt as though my experience should be shared as well. Allen Lambert helped me immensely in a time of need, it is as simple as that.
