Went to Myrtle Beach, SC on pkg deal from Allen Mkg Group.  They put us up in the most disgusting, dingy, dirty hotel.

Called Allen Mkg when we got back.  Were very apologetic and said they would send us a pkg for a 8 day, 7night pkg to any of 83 different cities in which we would only have to pay hotel taxes and whatever the cost was to get to the desitnation.  When we got the certificate in the mail, there is a $35.00 processing fee; $100.00 activation fee; and $199 up to $299 resort fees. Does that sound like hotel taxes, only?  Also was supposed to receive a certificate for a 4 day, 3 night Carnival or Princess cruise to Bahamas or Mexico.  The certificate we received says 40% off cruises, not a free 4 day 3 night cruise.  Was also supposed to get $1500 travel credits to any Marriott or Hilton hotel.  Never received.Called company. Will not do anything for us and said they would no longer give us any information.  Asked to talk to a supervisor or to Terry Allen, Principal.  Was told that would not happen. Think this is a total ripoff!!!

I work in this department and the products mentioned in this complaint have been replaced. Customers are no longer responsible for activation and processing fees. 

Customers are always responsible for hotel taxes and resort fees if they decide to stay in a hotel or resort.
