On Saturday May 20, 2006 I placed a wager on the allhorseracing.com web site for the preakness race( race #12 @ Pimlico race track) The wager was a wheel trifecta. The wager was a $1.00 Trifecta, the total bet for the wheel was $20.00 The bet was: 8/1567/134567. The wage was a winning wager. The race ended 873. The payoff for this $1.00 trifecta was $1956.40. Allhorseracing is only paying me $300.00. They state that in their rules the maximium payout for a trifecta is 300 times the original bet. They consider the original bet $1.00 therefor paying me a total of $300.00 while they pocket the other $1656.40.

WHY ARE YOU BETTING OFFSHORE WHEN THEY ARE STATESIDE OPTIONS AVAILABLE?

Betting offshore gives you no protection whatsoever and benefits no one..the betting public or the horsemen (I have owned racehorses on and off for 15 years), as the pools are not commingled with(added to) the total handle that is added from US sites, off-track, simulcasting, etc. Granted, there was very limited resources to bet online for the Preakness, thanks to Frank Stronach and Magna's "exclusive" signal for their tracks (Pimlico, Santa Anita, Golden Gate, just to name a few), but they are there, including Magna's own Expressbet, headquartered in your own state.

Unfortunately, being offshore, you have little recourse.
