Alliance Reservations Network ripoff on nonexistent internet travel booking Phoenix Arizona
BUYER BEWARE!!!
This complaint is with respect to nonexistent travel agency-like activities. The company mentioned: Alliance Reservation Network, a travel agency which publishes on Google for international travel, has guaranteed booking for hotels where no booking actually has taken place and the hotel did not acknowledge the company ever contacting it or made any prior or current business with that company.
After numerous attempts to reach the company and discuss the situation, PRIOR to the trip, they guaranteed they will speak to the hotel and ensure it will be resolve, but as I reach the hotel, the company never called the hotel to resolve the problem. Upon return, the company FAILED to refund any booking fees paid to it and has been uncooperative with me as the customer.
This company appears to false advertise hotels with which it does not do any direct business. It received numerous complaints from various customers. I WOULD CAUTION ANYONE FROM USING THEIR INTERNET BOOKING ENGINE.
it looks as if the BBB of Arizona rates this company as A-rated. This is meaningless and the only facts that matter are the legitimate concerns of consumers (like those posting on this website). BBB rating is a rubber stamp with no meaning in this particular case!

Hotel Not Honoring Reservation
#2REBUTTAL Owner of company
Thu, September 02, 2010
As an owner of this company I personally emailed this client twice on 8/6/2009 informing them that we did not make any errors in regards to their hotel reservation in London. A 3rd party "Rep Company" handles reservations from travel agencies for this hotel, and they assured us several times that the reservation would be honored as the reservation had been confirmed by them. My Customer Service Dept. agents, including their manager, spent countless hours trying to correct this issue for our client. In the end it turns out the hotel did not close out their system and allowed a reservation to come through, creating a overbooking situation for the second night of our clients stay. The Rep Company, working with the hotel, offered assistance to place our client in a nearby hotel for the 2nd night. Our client never accepted the fact that the hotel was at fault, however I am proud of the efforts put forth by my Customer Service personnel. Our outstanding Customer service is one of the reasons we retain an A- rating from the BBB. Shortly after my email exchange our client was refunded the $12.00 service fee that was originally charged.
