Since allied Barton got this contract at delta back in march 2009 its been it's been total chaos. They only got the account because Randy use to work for DGS he knew when teheran contract was up for bid now randy is currently working for allied Barton. Misterously allied Barton under bid DGS. If I wasn't mistaken isn't that insider trading smh. As for the supervisors from 2009 to now there has been many supervisor who came and went supervisors thats abusing their role as the officers superiors s**t supervisors abusing officers using their position to get what they want from the officers.

Many of the supervisors has been fired for sexually acts and drinking on the job and seeing things that wasn't suppose to get out like lack of pay that is distributed to officers and supervisor d**n percentages not adding up makes u wanna think who's pocking what. Officers getting paid 25 more than others. Back to the supervisors abusing their role.......supervisors verbally and mentally abusing their officers they have been for the last three yrs I'm starting to think they give the supervisors a pep talk when their hired saying you all are my eyes and ears anybody get out of line you start a paper trail right or wrong document it if they look at you wrong document it its a your descretion

we are trying to prevent unemployment which I heard from a supervisor from the monthly netting they hold their trying to prevent fired people from getting unemployment have have watch supervisors write up people for just not liking the person. Magement making people stay because they have unreliable people working here not utlity officers or PRN like a normal company would have. on call officers utility officers are hired with the knowledge of the role they are suppose to perform and they pay is fair allies Barton trying to get over bringing the "on call people" in at 8,50 so that won't have to pay the extra money but what they fail to realize the on call people come in when the feel like it cause it's on call.

Mangement has wrote memos about rumors letting all the staff know that it won't be tolerated WTF rumors seriously what company you know entertain rumors it's very childish and untrustworthy management handles situations unprofessional I thought when u work security you surpose to observe and report how the hell you u reporting something's you haven't observed. Supervisors ride in the company jeep all day and night but they in charge of officers work ethic and their responsible for overseeing what is set out for officers to do at each post but when u have new officers training u have the officers training other officers but u have supervisors, management and a training manager again why is the officers training officers shouldn't the managers and supervisor be aware of the duties that officers are giving forth.

Private Guard Companies...

...such as AlliedBarton are CONTRACTORS. They provide a service and that service is whatever the customer says that service is at any given time of the day. While there are some people writing on here that pretty much hit the nail on the head when it comes to these types of companies, one must remember that these companies are highly political, for profit enterprises. YOU, the general employee, supervisor, or manager at the branch or regional level, mean VERY little.

Many on this blog have talked about the corruption that seems to be prevelent in it...this lack of ethics is common. Not only with the company, but often with the customer as well. It is the nature of the business in a ruthless business world. If this worries you, then my suggestion to you is to find other employment.  As a whole, the private guard industry is profitable...but individually, profit margins are minimal. Pay is very low because it is based on what the contract for your being on post is. It always will be. And yes, some companies will try to "riffle your pay envelope." Pay is based on what the customer thinks your service is worth and how much they are willing to push the private guard company involved to see you get it. Often, the customer is more hostile to the guard and the private guard company than you would think or they would have you believe.

 I've dealt with many different private guard companies over the years, few had any siginificant differences than any of the others...some were better; some were worse. All had the same problems and issues.Yet even with all of this being more than common knowledge, many are still in business that probably shouldn't be.

Many others have written here on what a private guard company is. In my view, they are exist for two things:

   1- To provide a cheap source of personnel that is not completely attached to the customer: a "henchman" for the client.

   2- To be the "whipping boy" for the customer and their problems. To take blame and large amount of liability off the customer.

Private security jobs are not stable, permenant, or a profession. It is a job; nothing more.
