I've just ended one of the most one sided conversations that I've every had in my entire life. I received a call from Allied Interstate regarding a past due account, I was told how much I owned and then how much They would like me to pay.

I explained to them that had been unemployed for sometime but had recently found employment and was in the process of making arrangements on my past due accounts. I told them what I could afford they then told me that I needed to open a checking account and call them because they were not going to let me sent a payment via mail.

The representative became highly abusive and even started cursing and screaming at the top of his lungs. I calmly told them my rights and that I would be contacting the BBB. I later called them back and got a mailing address.

I've worked in collections for over 10 years. Allied needs to treat people with respect if they intend on collecting their accounts, granted some people have no intention on paying their credit bills but 9 out of 10 are. They have just fallen on hard times. Most stick to their word about making payments it still gives no collector the right to scream, curse and or otherwise be rude and harass people.

I've just ended one of the most one sided conversations that I've every had in my entire life.***They are tough collectors i worked in this office*** I received a call from Allied Interstate regarding a past due account, I was told how much I owned***you mean owed? LOL j/k typos are funny*** and then how much They would like me to pay.

I explained to them that had been unemployed for sometime***You know that is no excuse right?*** but had recently found employment and was in the process of making arrangements on my past due accounts.***Arrangements DO NOT have to be accepted all that HAS to be accepted is BIF (balance in full*** I told them what I could afford they then told me that I needed to open a checking account and call them because they were not going to let me sent****Send LOL*** a payment via mail. ***That is correct they dont have to take payment arrangements I know i wont take your offer of $20-$50 bucks a month at all let alone by mail. You are in this situation because you already broke mail in accomendations and arrangements***

The representative became highly abusive***They are known to do that*** and even started cursing***That needs to be recorded*** and screaming at the top of his lungs.***Screaming isnt illegal*** I calmly told them my rights and that I would be contacting the BBB.***They laughed at you right then. The BBB has no authority on anyone accept a company who cares what the BBB thinks... and allied interstate does not, so when you threatened that you became a joke. I am curious as to What you think your rights are though*** I later called them back and got a mailing address.
