This website appears to be using an illegal business tactic. They take your order and your credit card number for payment, and then through lengthy delays and numerous requests for patience and more time, they offer a refund when one is requested. My order was placed on 7/2/07, my credit card was charged on 7/3/07. First the excuse for non-delivery was that the order was back-ordered (7/17/07 and 7/19/07). The e-mail came from a new e-mail address www.tvaddicts.com, not from www.allmyfavoriteshows.com. Both the allmyfavoriteshow's website and phone numbers were not not valid. They said in several e-mails that they would keep me posted. That didn't happen. Then when I became more irritated and more demanding for delivery, they sent me an e-mail that said the order was shipped. They provided a Canadian postal service tracking number on 7/24/07 indicating that my order had been received by the Canadian post office in Brossard, Quebec. They indicated that it would be 10 to 12 days after the order was shipped. I checked the Canadian post office tracking number (URL provided) daily about the delivery. The postal tracking number link indicated it had been recieved by the post office. But this status message never changed through 8/12/07, when I finally beagn to recognize that I was being scammed, for the first time in over 10 years of purchases through the Internet. I received no respond from orders@tvaddicts.tv (not where I started with allmyfavoriteshows.con) until I requested a refund. I received a e-mail on 8/13/07 indictaing that the refund would be processed and take from 6 to 10 days. I am still waiting for a refund (8/16/07). It is now 47 days from my initial order date. By the time I get a refund (if I get one) it will be nearly 2 months from the initail order date.

My conclusion. This company is using deliberate delay tactics to record a credit card sale in one month and then providing a refund months later. It took but 1 day to charge by credit card when the order was placed. I wonder why it then takes 6-10 days to credit the card with a refund for the order.

Multiple my bad order by a 100 or more (the other unfortunate orderers) and you can see a lucrative business collecting interest on money held from my credit card between the time of order and the time of refund. I believe that I was scammed.

This business (websites - www.tvaddicts.tv and allmyfavoriteshows.com or orders@tvaddicts.tv and orders@allmyfavorite shows.com) appears to be in violation of trade laws. In this case international trade laws.

I finally got my requested refund.

_________
Here is the e-mail I sent to the tvaddicts.com after checking with my credit card company to be sure I indeed got a refund.

Thank you for the refund. This is the first Internet scam I have had in over ten years of Internet purchases. Congratulations for using my credit card to make some money (50 days from credit card charge to credit card refund equals money in your pocket). Online credit card purchases recorded with no intent to deliver is illegal in the US. Apparently this is not so in Canada.

Please see ripoffreport.com/ and type in allmyfavoriteshows in the search window. Apparently I'm not the only one with a complaint. The reports you will find on this website are completely consistent with my
omplaint. I will legally pursue your business practices further. You may want to change your website addresses and phone numbers again before
authorities come calling. Using the Canadian postal service in your process is also illegal. Your business practices have been exposed. My case is not isolated.

If what I say is untrue, and your business is legitimate, you may want reply to this e-mail and state your case. If what I say is true, I expect no reply.
>
I could have ordered the same set of DVDs and had them delivered in less than a week through Amazon.com.
>
Thank you Mae and Jaz and Anne.

Here is the e-mail I received in response to my e-mail:

No problem, thanks for extending your patience.
________

Beware - A new website has just appeared called DVDIgniter.com that looks remarkably likeallmyfavoriteshows.com (and then TVAddicts.com) They offer the same DVD set as previously described for the same price using the same adveristing lingo. If you click on the Site Map>Related Links>Link to Us at the bottom of the homepage of this website you will be provided a link to the TVAddicts website. Be careful. You may have the same problems here. The telephone number provide under Contact for DVDIgniter website is not even a valid telephone number. It contains one too many digits. So you have no have of contacting this new site accept through a live chat. See the other unhappy campers ripoff reports for the results they found using the chat link. Not good.

The response to my e-mail - "no problem" - demonstrates a complete lack of interest in addressing at least one customers dissatisfaction. "Thanks for your patience" is what I heard more times than I want to remember.

I did get my refund, so I am thankful for that. And only 3 days after after requesting it.
