Allstate Benefits Cancelled my policy without any notification

I have had a cancer policy with them for over 7 years.  My premium each month is $25.03.  My past Feb bill got lost in the shuffle of other bills and I ended up paying my Feb and March bill together for $50.06 at the very end of March/beginning of April.

I just received a refund check for $50.06, and when I called to ask why I was told my policy was cancelled because payment was late. That was it!  They claimed they sent a letter stating my policy was cancelled (which i never recieved) but no warning or anything after being a customer this long, because I was late paying $25.03!

I have a history of skin cancer and told them that I needed this policy and I was told that there was nothing they could do.  Really???? There is always something you can do if you are a company with good customer service. Never again will I purchase a policy from this company!
