I was contacted by phone by Allstate Imaging with a great offer to try their some ink cartridges for free with some others included for payment if I liked the product. They called a few days later pushing for my payment. I still hadn't tried them since the cartridges in my printer hadn't needed replacement yet. But I had no reason to suspect they wouldn't work. When I tried the first cartridges out the black worked but two color cartidges didn't. Interestingly I got a call right after that happened saying another shipment was on its way in a follow-up package--one that I didn't order. When I called to complain about the cartridge and the extras shipments the sales rep said they wouldn't break even in on the deal without shipping out the extra but said for me he would cut down the number in half and I could ship back the defective cartidges and they would replace them. So I allowed them to send me three cartridges of each instead of six. They assured me that there was a guarantee and if any of their cartridges didn't work they would be replaced. I was a nice guy and decided to give them another chance. What a dope!

Now I'm on a deadline to print out some business material and ship them before day's end. The printer was running out of black ink and I congratulated myself for having the replacements at hand. But I've replaced the black cartridge twice with their products. Neither of the two worked. No black at all from a supposedly new cartridge.

Whether Allstate will replace them or not I can't always be shipping things back and waiting for replacements when they don't work as required. What a pain. When you put an ink cartridge in your printer you expect it to work and any other brands I've used always have. There must be no quality control at all in their manufacturing of these cartridges. I never want to see another Allstate Imaging cartridge or their name on my caller ID.
