I became a member of the Allstate Motor club back in November, I paid $1 for 2 months before I paid $15 a month from January until early March. A couple months ago after crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel in Virginia, almost immediately after getting across our alternator gave out.
It was a Monday morning around 2 am. I called what was supposed to be a 24/7 roadside assistance for a tow, and all I got when calling the number was that the office was closed and to try my call during office hours.
My fiancee being Navy, had to work THAT day at 7 am, so we called our insurance company that took a little longer than Allstate was SUPPOSED to.
I was so unhappy with this that I called and canceled my membership, got a full $30 refund. Now, I keep getting reinstatement letters, this is SSSOOO annoying. This "Auto Club" is a total ripoff!
