allsteelcarports.com worst and horrible experience with allsteelcarports.com beware!! Muncie Indiana
We made a contract with this company for a custom carport. We made the company aware that the carport was going to placed in front of a travel door and the trailer had windows and doors. The company was also made aware of that this was insurance work to repair storm damage and that payment would be made by Merrick Back the lien holder for our travel trailer, American Family Insurance issued the check and that was then sent to Merrick Bank in Utah. Allsteelcarports.com was told numerous times the check would be issued to them after the work was done and we were satisfied and they said that was fine. The first thing that happened was allsteelcarports rep Ashley phoned us about 10 days later and stated that a crew would be there the following Monday about 6:30 am to install the building. They arrived and we met them at our campground. The crew could not do the work because they did no know how to install a custom carport and work around windows and doors, so they left. We called allsteelcarports and spoke to Mitch, the original salesperson and he told us the crew was suppose to be equipped to do the alterations on site, but they were not, there was also a language barrier we could not understand them and they could not understand us. We received a call from Ashley on Friday of that week and she stated That the time would be the "same thing" and the building would be installed on the following Tuesday. We went to our campground on Tuesday at 6:00 am we waited all day until 9:00 pm, 15 hours. We made several calls to allsteelcarports asking if the crew was coming and at 6:00 PM we were told that your building was going to be put up today, by a supervisor, we finally gave up at 9:00 pm and we went home, we do not live at the campground it is a get away site for us. That day when we called allsteelcarports Ashely got quite rude with April Kelly when she complained that we had been waiting 8 hours and we had been at the site since 6:00, since Ashley told us "same thing" same thing meant 6:30 like the previous bothched attempt to put up the building. Ashley then said she did not say they would be there in the morning and she told April "whats to be misunderstand" very rudely. We arrived back home at about 9:30 pm that evening and then received a call from the crew that was suppose to have done the work that morning stating they would be there at 6:00 am tomorrow, so I went to the campground and the crew arrived at about 7:20 am, late. The building was put up. We then began receiving calls from allsteelcarports wanting the check, they were informed that the check would be coming form Merrick bank in Utah, just like we explained before. They continued to call daily harassing us early in the morning. We finally had to threaten them with reporting them for harassment. The rep at Merrick Bank had already spoke to allsteelcarports yet they continued to harass us. April finally had to call American Family Insurance who issued the check, who called Merrick Bank, who called allsteelcarports again. We have not received a cal from them today again but we probably will. Our time is valuable allsteelcarports has the worst customer service, the worst communication skills I have ever encountered. They had numerous people working there who obviously did not communicate with each other. They also had the nerve to be rude to us after they wasted our time on two days because of their incompetence. They harassed us on purpose because we complained and told us they would call us every day and harass us if they wanted to. I want compensated for our lost time and harassment. If this company wanted payment immediately they should not have agreed to wait until the work was done and were satisfied before the bank in Utah issued the check and if allsteelcarports would have completed the job the first time they would have had the check already.
