After years with Alltel, having 5 phones and one internet connection on my account Alltell sold out to At&t. We waited for months for the big change over and the new free phones we suppose to receive.

When the phones came they were not comparable as promised but substandard in every way to the old phones we were used to.

So we were each allowed one trade in, the second set of phones were just as bad, difficult to open, dropped calls failure to ring, and difficult to dial the right number. But that wasn't even the worst of the problem.

Alltel said I canceled my contract with them and wanted to charge me an extra $300.00.

Then even though employees in the new AT&T office kept telling me my monthly bill would be $200.00, AT&T keeps sending me bills for $527.  When I show the bills to the employees in the Casper office they can't explain it and keep saying to wait for the real bill. If the bill AT&T is sending is not real why are they sending it? So today two weeks before the payment is do AT&T turns off my phone demanding that i pay $1222.95 for two months service on the four phones I still have.

I did have one internet connection and one phone turned off. I did not agree to any new contract with AT&T. I did not cancel the contract with alltel and I am not paying 1222.95 for two months of phone service that shoul have cost $546. Both Alltel and AT&T are liars and rip offs.
