Using internet, email, and telephone I purchased a used Subaru engine from Noah Permenter. It was reported to me as being a very nice working engine with 120K miles. I also received a one year warranty. After my mechanic received the rusty engine he called and asked about sending it back. I needed to get back home to Wisconsin so I asked him to try and make it work. A week later he was able to get the engine in the vehicle and when he took it for a test drive, after two miles all the coolant was being blown out of the overflow tank, a telltale sign of blown head gaskets. I sent Noah a video of the engine idling with bubbles being blown in the overflow tank. He informed me that he needed pictures of the engine to show his vendor to prove that this was the engine that was sent to me? I took several pictures and sent them to Noah. That evening he called me and was shocked at how rusty and ugly the motor looked. I said the problem I have with it is its a non-runner. He said he was going to contact his vendor in the morning and get me my money back. The next day I received an email from Noah stating that his vendor claimed that the engine in the pictures was not the engine that was sent and it was all the proof he needed not to refund my money?

This guy showed me a picture of his rusted utah salt lake city engine which is not what I sent him, the engines we send have floresent paint in 7 areas marking our product. He had an excuse for that claiming his mechanic rubbed it off before I even told him this, impossible when it is oil based paint and it would take a pressure washer to remove it. Once again this is a sad attempt to try and ruin a good businesses reputaton by a guy just showing me pictures and videos of his old salty utah engine, nice try but people try to commit fraud with us all the time. He will get nothing from my company!
