Almont Homes in Suwanee GA is the most deceitful contractor ever.

I purchased a home from them early last year for over $300k. Shortly after moving in, we noticed there were many issues around the house. So we contacted the builder at info@almonthomes.com, but nothing happened.
We continue to pursue them and finally, we reach out to the warranty company... Why do they even mention warranty is beyond me as these people are useless.

I spoke to this guy at the warranty company and said, oh yeah, everything will be taken care of. Not to worry.

A week later, oh yeah, we are trying to reach out to the builder.

Another week passed, same story, so we hired an independent contractor to inspect the house and details the problems in the inspection... I then, forward the inspection report to both 2-10, the warranty company, and John Davis- The builder for Almont homes... Still, today, I have a back yard with many issues, I have a home, where the windows were installed incorrectly and the carpet already worn out in less than a year.

DO NOT BUY HOMES from these people. Please find yourself a more reputable builder.

Almont Homes have no ethics whatsoever. They lie, cheat, to get you to sign on the dotted lines.

RUN as fast as you can from these people.

At the end, you will end up frustrated and disappointed.

Now, I have to hire a lawyer and file a law suit against them so I can get my house back to order.

UNBELIEVABLE

Almont Homes IS a Quality Builder

Almont Homes has responded to the home owner’s warranty request as provided under the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty.

The windows have been inspected by several tradesmen including the installer and distributor. In order to make the window “noise”, the home owner had to jump up and down in front of the window. The warranty (as pointed out to the owner) does not cover such an item.

Almont Homes did complete the long list of items including nail pops; however, because the home owner re-painted the interior we could not match the new paint colors. Again, the warranty address this particular item and the responsibility falls on the owner to re-paint in such cases.

The home owner hired a consultant that pointed out drainage issues in the backyard; however, the home owner failed to inform the consultant that they (not Almont) installed the problematic retaining wall and privacy fence. Again, these items not provided by Almont Homes are not covered by the warranty.

The home owner also hired a home inspection company. The report provided states many preferences or opinions; however, Almont Homes is a professional builder and provides a quality product built to meet or exceed the prevailing building codes. Opinions or suggestions are not considered in the administration of the warranty process. Almont Homes has fairly and properly responded to the home owners warranty service request. If you have any questions regarding specific warranty issues, please contact Almont Homes or 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty.
