Complaint Review: Alpha Multimedia

Alpha Multimedia and it's distributors plans to be the world's leading operator of interactive kiosks. The digital advertising possibilities generated by the second screen, provide advertisers with a unique opportunity to reach their target market of consumers.

Since my purchase of (4) kiosks in November 2006, (for a total of $76,320.00 gst tax included.) I received no revenue from National Advertisings and no advertising contract from local advertisers. and I am very far from a payback within 12 to 14 months.

The whole premise of this opportunity that was presented to me was one of the urgent need of the company to extend their national kiosks network to publish National Advertisings, they had on hand, and to appeal to more national advertisers who were asking for a larger coverage of locations.

The fact of the matter is that Alpha Multimedia have no National Advertisements, generating revenues for investors, and have great difficulties of getting national advertisers attention. They will play with words in saying that you have a guaranteed Advertising income as a proof of confidence they can generate Ads for you and these will run on your KIOSK.

Yes you will see Ads running on your machine, but they are not revenue generators( Bell, Visa, Alpha..). They are teasers. You will not get revenues from it, but rather will not be charged for the monthly charges for the first 12 months taking it from your guaranteed income at 70% against your monthly fees ( $60DSL, $100 maintenance and $200 rent). The bottom line is you will end up breaking even for the first year, not considering your cost of capital! Not what I expected!

The bottom line is that as an investor who was anticipating substantial revenue stream, I ended up with DECEPTIONS, FRUSTRATIONS and FEELINGS of having been trapped into a sales pitch that does not translate into reality.

That is only the beginning. Once your purchase is done, you will feel alone. management is not interested in talking to you or replying to your concerns, they hide behind customer service. IT department is responsive and Customer Service is responsive but that does not bring you more revenues.

My machines were installed in Petro Canada Gas convenient stores in Montreal, I worked hard in promoting and selling local advertisements to help compensate from Alpha's inability to secure National Ads. After 6 months into this, I realized that I was getting no where.

I filed complaints to management. no replies. I went to Better Business Bureau. and after much follow up 3months later. I finally got a reply from the company saying that they did everything they were supposed to do and as an independant owner/operator of KIOSKS , I was responsible for the success of this business opportunity by my own means. they see themselves supportive because they gave me training to sell advertising(you should see that training.) and they are prepared to help me change kiosks location for a fee.

Also, if impossible to know other investors as the company has a controlled process to limit or avoid contacts with other kiosks owners.

My own conclusion now is that I think they are back peddling on National Advertisements. and focusing more on Kiosks hardware sales, the rest is an ILLUSION to get your attention.
