In December of 2003, when my husband and I were purchasing our home, our roof was completely replaced by Alpha Roofing. At first, it seemed they did a very good job. They cleaned up most of their mess, and the roof looked nice.

However, the following March we noticed water damage in one of our children's bedrooms. Of course, every time it rained the water damage got worse. Even to the point of causing water damage in the kitchen downstairs.

We started calling Alpha Roofing sometime in late March after we seen the damage. We called them several times before we talked to anyone. They told us they would be out the following week. No one showed up at our house.

We began to call more often, only to leave messages that were never returned. Finally we left him an emergency page. He responded to this one with saying someone had already come out to the house and fixed the roof.

The next time it rained, more damage. The damages are getting more and more costly. We just purchased this 1925 home. It is a beautiful two-story home in historic Guthrie.

We keep trying to contact Alpha Roofing, to no avail. We would like to see them right their wrongs (roof and all the water damages) before having to file a civil suit against them. However, at this point I am willing to do whatever I can under our Oklahoma civil law to get this situation resolved.

Liz was NEVER a customer of ours.

We never replaced a roof for this person.

The damage to her roof was caused by wind tearing shingles completely off.

We fixed the spot on her roof at no charge out of the kindness of our hearts.

We never replaced a roof for this person.  We replaced the roof to the previous owners prior to Liz purchasing the home.  You notice in her dispute she worded it to make it look as if we replaced it for her.  We never replaced Liz's roof.  We never signed a contract with Liz.  We had no dealings with Liz when we replaced the roof.  She was not our client.

In Oklahoma it is known that we have multiple storms a year.  We do not cover storm damage.  We cannot control the weather and how much damage it does to a roof.  Insurance covers storm damage.  Companies would go out of business if they had to guarantee tornadoes, hail, wind damage.

We have been in business for over 25 years.  We have an impeccable reputation.  We are A+ on the BBB, in top 2% of roofing companies,  Platinum Contractors, etc.

Liz called our company after purchasing her home.  She said there was a leak in the roof.  We at that time, told her that even though she was not our customer that we would come check out her home anyways.  We pride ourselves on going above and beyond in customer service, even though she was never our customer.  As we inspected the home, we noticed there was wind damage.  The shingles were completely torn off the roof. There was not enough damage to justify her turning in a claim.   We knew that even though it was not our fault, but that of the storms, that she would spend more on her deductible, and placing a claim against her and her home, then replacing the spot that could be repaired.  Out of the kindness of our hearts we replaced the shingles at NO cost to her.  Even though she was not our customer, and we had no obligation.  We had no obligation and helped her by saving her the cost of the claim, labor, and materials, she still wanted us to fix the paint in the ceiling from the leak.   We then again informed her, after numerous occasions, that it was storm related damage, she was never our customer, and that is not our obligation.  If she felt she needed to file a claim, then she should call her insurance. She didn't take our kindness into consideration and tried to take advantage of us.  She threatened that if we didn't fix it, that she didn't care that she wasn't our customer, she would try to smear our names anyways.  If she had viable recourse, she would have taken it.  This is a smear campaign. It is really shameful that that people try to do anything to get something for free.   Our reputation is intact.  We have plenty of references, and legitimate sites that regulate claims to reference our reputation.  Please feel free to give us a call so that we can explain this circumstance.

Thank you.

1 down, 1 to go.... Alpha Roofing called and threatened to sue us for "slandering" his name

Well, they did send someone out to repair the roof. It took them 4 hours to do so. The repairman explained that in the replacement of the roof in December, they did not cover the entire roof. A quarter size area was not covered at all. Supposedly, it is now. Hasn't rained here in central OK yet, so we are still waiting to find out if it is really repaired.

However, the day before the repairman came the owner of Alpha Roofing called and threatened to sue us for slandering his name. He somehow thinks that doing a shoddy job on a roof doesn't give anyone the right to report him to the BBB or anywhere else.

They still have not sent anyone out to repair the water damage. Our wall in the bedroom is completely falling down now. The plaster is moldy, and cracking. I'm sure he could fix it quite easily if he would just do so. My daughter still cannot sleep in her room. I hate to think it begin raining and pour all over her.

Anyway, I wanted to inform all that were concerned. Thanks a bunch!
