Alpha Ventures Made promises concerning leasing a house then backed down on promise ripoff Fort Collins Colorado
I moved into a house owned by Dawn Huggins, dba Alpha Ventures, in Fort Collins, Colorado. Our verbal agreement was that I would do several thousand dollars worth of remodel to the property, some materials I would pay for, in exchange for deposits. After the work was done Dawn Huggins began harassing me for the depostits. Dawn also claimed that she did not receive a money order for rent in the month of March 2006, she waited almost 4 months to make this claim. Of course she is charging me late fees and interest on this money.
Dawn will not maintain the property and will not return phone calls and very seldom an email.
Be very careful in any dealings with Alpha Ventures or Dawn Huggins.

Dawn Huggins, Co-owner of Alpha Ventures, has defrauded me by renting me an unsafe house. Not only did she go back on her word concerning trading work for deposits and claim to not have received rent after several months had pasts... but I have also found out that the house is not a 4 bedroom house as she rented it to me. Seems there are laws about how rooms can be used due to fire hazards, two of the rooms that were rented to me as bed rooms can not be used as such. The sewer system also backed up several times and we had to clean up the mess, the law states that the owner is responsible to having the sewage cleaned up by a licensed contractor. I also found that Dawn has not pulled any of the required permits for work done on the house since she co-purchased it. Be very careful if you are considering doing business with Dawn Huggins, dba Alpha Ventures in Fort Collins, Colorado.
