Going to them for a loan was a huge mistake...short term, no payback penalty, staff was pretty nice. I got sick, hit a rough patch and couldn't afford the payment. Interest compounding at BAM 2k balance on a 600 loan. I get text messages, sometimes two or three times a day, hang up phone calls, and when I do get someone on the phone she is threatening and a bully. Corrine, very harsh and unprofessional.

Said she was the only one I could deal with and if I didn't pay 740 with in a couple days they were going to sue me for "their" money at double or triple the 2k I owe now. I told her I spoke with a debt counselor and she laughed said they don't work with them and that I should figure out how to get her the money. I feel like I am in a black hole with no way out. I tried to settle the account, she started yelling on the phone that she already helped me out once before.

Yelling and demeaning while making them feel threatened..,I know have to taken anti anxiety medication after a call with them as she acts like a back ally thug.

Is there no way of working with these people? Lesson learned, I will never take a loan like this again

" . I feel like I am in a black hole with no way out. "

There are a few ways out.   Pay off the loan before it gets worse or delclare bankruptcy.  The third way is to just ignore them and try to stay one step ahead of them for the next several years.   I'm not recommending any of these options, just pointing out that they are the ones you have.

You seem to know that these are high risk, high interest loans.   You were gambling that you could pay back the loan before that interest piled up.  You lost the bet.   Since the stakes were your credit rating and a possible future judgement, there are not a lot of options.    That's the price you pay when you deal with legalized loan sharks.

"  Is there no way of working with these people?   "

The payday loan industry does not generally "work" with anyone.   Their prime tactic is to make your life miserable so that you'll pay this off and get them off your back.    Since these are high interest, no collateral loans to people with poor credit, they really have no alternative.   The only security they have is your promise on a contract.

" Lesson learned, I will never take a loan like this again "

Kind of an expensive lesson, but better late than never.    I tell my friends, " If you can afford to pay triple digit compounding interest, you must be rich and shouldn't need a loan".   If you're not rich, you can't afford to pay triple digit interest rates and have no business going to these sharks.
