Similar story as the other alter v moda leather jacket rip offs except this happened in about the year 2000 and only after looking for a new leather jacket and coming across this site did I realise that I may have been ripped off.

Anyway I was sitting on a side road in my car outside Heathrow Airport waiting for a delayed flight, when an Italian well dressed gent pulled up along side and asked for directions to a car hire office, I gave him the directions but he parked  up behind me got out  of his car and came round to talk to me.

He asked if I could help him as he had maxed out his credit cards at a London casino the night before and needed money to pay for car hire before getting a flight back to Milan that afternoon. He said he had been to a London trade show that week as he was a rep for a Milan fashion house he still had 5 leather jacket samples in his car and if I could help him out with £150 car rental charge he would give me the leather jackets.

I looked at the jackets and really liked two of them they were made of really soft black leather and very stylish. One mens the other ladies ( one for the wife) the other 3 were brown leather and not to my taste, I told the guy that I only had £80 which I would give him in exchange for the two black jackets, this he agreed, the money and jackets changed hands and we both went on our way, I was a very happy bunny as I thought by the quality of the jackets they were worth in excess of £200 each.

10 years later I still wear my jacket I have never seen another like it in all  that time, many people have commented over the years on how nice the jacket is and were I got it so I have relayed the story of how I required it.

The collar is a little bit worn now so I was looking for a new one that was similar and came across this site Well I hadn't a clue untill now that I may have been ripped off, in fact I really don't think I was. I think I was just duped by a strange sales technique by an illegal street trader, the jacket has given me years of use I will be very sad when I eventually have to get rid of it, best £80 I have ever spent.

So if anyone knows were this chap is could you give him my email address as I would like to buy another one please.
