Hi,

Please be aware of this company and the owner Michael Liggan. I recently enquired to them regarding properties that they are marketing in local and national web press releases for properties in the Costa Del Sol with 100% mortgages. When i made the enquiry I was bombarded to my mobile, home number and received countless emails. I eventually agreed to go and see them in the Costa Del Sol to view these bargain, must have properties.

You will not be surprised to hear that when I got to Spain I was more or less chaperoned around the area. When I asked to see the 100% mortgage properties they had magically all been sold! They then started to offer me low end properties at over inflated prices. After constantly being pressurised to put a deposit down on a house so as to secure the price now!! I had finally had enough and asked them to leave me alone. When I also told them i was shopping around and had found better properties with better agents they simply badmouthed all the ones that I mentioned and was told to avoid them, what a joke that was coming from them!!

The salesman, a chap named Michael Blackburn was so rude and obnoxious when he realised he was not going to get a deal out of me and started to accuse me of wasting his time. He also asked me to reimburse him for the fuel he had used in carting me around and also for the cheap lunch he brought me at a local Spanish Cafe! Unbelievable! I gave the man his money and asked him to go away and to never contact me again. I was so upset that I returned home on the next available flight from Malaga.

When I got home I carried out more research on Altavista Spain, of which i wish I had done before going to meet them. To my horror I found that the company is owned and run by a notorious real estate scam artist names Michael Liggan, who I have also found out was the front man at a company named MRI Overseas Property. They also have some other ex directors of MRI working from them, being Kostas Tsitsias and Rolph Kristiensen, both notorious money hungry, greedy men.

To even greater horror I have also heard that all of these men where behind the deception, mis selling and bad running of MRI and left the company when things started to go badly wrong. Liggan left MRI with a wake of debt, problems andunhappy cistomers. He is also a renowned tyrant to work for and is well known for driving around in his fast cars and designer clothes, all paid for by scamming money from unsuspecting clients!! Not me though Liggan!

I also hear that they are being investigated by the European Consumer Council and also the local authorities for their past and present activities.

I since come across other people who have gone through similar experiences with these con men. One person I spoke to has paid a deposit on a property and has since found out that it is an illegal build!!

Spain is a lovely country and I really want to buy a second home there. Please be aware of Altavista Spain and the men who work for them. Do your homework first and find the best companies to go and meet.

Good Luck
