Complaint Review: Altisource

This "property managment" or other rental real estate company has a LONG list of tenants and former tenants who have been screwed by them. We signed a lease to get into the home in early December, 2017. When we went to the house ther was a lengthy list of rather serious problems including major water leaks. We sent an email detailed all the issues we found, requesting they be corrected quickly as we were supposed to be able to move in. Weeks dragged in to months. We were forced to move in even though these issues had not been resolved because we had to have somewhere to live. We continued to report issues and these included, heat/AC not working, roof leaking to ther point it was shorting out wires, leaks from the upstairs bathrooms so bad we had MUSHROOMS growing on ther downstairs ceiling, holes in the basement for so large rats, chipmunks, squirrels and even snakes got in. Ther basement floor was so unstable to was dangerous to walk on. The paint was peeling off the walls, molding ws coming off the floor and there were serious cracks in the molding around the ceiling.

We had black mold growing in a downstairs closet from the constant leaks from the upstairs toilet. I even had a private and independent contractor come out and walk through the property to give me an estimate on fixing everything wrong and the estimate came to nearly $30,000 oon damages and disrepair. Email after email, phone call after phone call was ignored. After NINE months like this, we have to call it quits. Last time it rained we had so much rain coming in from the leaks in the roof, we ended up with more than an inch of water in one bedroom and the walls of the master bedroom looked like someone had been in there with the garden hose. This is the stand out WORST property management/ real estate investment company I have ever had ther misfortune to deal with. There are dozens of complaints on YELP regarding how bad these people are. Do NOT rent from them. You will eventually regret it. I am seeking an attorney who would be willing to assist in a class action lawsuit on a contingency basis. There are at LEAST a dozen, probably many more, people evoi would love to sue these criminally negligent scammers.
